Stephanie + Dereck // Grand Rapids, Michigan
This past weekend I had the honor of shooting Stephanie and Dereck’s beautiful wedding at the GVSU Alumni House. They planned their ceremony to be in the gorgeous courtyard on campus and were hoping and praying for some sunshine on their wedding day. On my way to the Grand Valley it was pouring rain and the trees were whipping around like crazy. With a rainy day like that it can make or break your day. Justin and I always tell people it is all what you make it.
I did not hear a single negative comment about the rain, they had a beautiful ceremony inside of the alumni house, and they loved every second. Stephanie and Dereck are two of the most laid back fun people and they didn’t let the rain ruin their perfect wedding day. They were excited to finally be together, celebrate, and be with their friends.
We had the perfect pause in the rain between the ceremony and reception when we captured so many fun pictures of them together and with their friends throughout Grand Rapids.
