Emily + Davis // Schoolcraft, Michigan

The thing about being a wedding photographer is we see countless emotional moments and share in some of the most special days of peoples lives that are often full of tears and laughter. I am what they call a “sympathy crier” so it is not abnormal for me to get a little misty at every wedding.

There were many moments that made me a little “misty” at Emily and Davis’s wedding last weekend, but when I was chatting with them during our little golden hour session during the reception I was moved to tears when I was talking to them about their faith-filled relationship.

Emily and Davis have a wise, Christ-inspired relationship, their entire ceremony was centered around praising Jesus first, and celebrating their marriage second. They focused on the fact that their bond has many goals but first and foremost, they are together to serve the Lord.

I obviously miss working with Justin for many reasons but this wedding made me miss my husband. I missed those glimpses of “marriage” during our work days, I wanted to share their God Glorifying ceremony with him and couldn’t wait to get home that night to tell him how amazing it was.

Emily and Davis are welcoming, fun, and full of laughter, I loved capturing the joy that pours out of them and their perfect chemistry. Congratulations Friends, we cannot wait to see where the Lord takes you together.
