Sami + Adam // Grand Rapids, MI

When we had the opportunity to book an engagement session and wedding package with Sami and Adam we were beyond excited for numerous obvious reasons.  We knew working with them would be an incredible opportunity, and that they would be great to photograph.  Then when they said they would fly us out to Washington for their engagement session it was a no brainer that we couldn’t wait to work with them.  What we didn’t anticipate is making two amazing friends along the way. 

Sami and Adam are the most genuinely kind, generous, heartfelt people we have met.  They instantly brought us in and treated us like family.  We had so much fun laughing and celebrating with them on Saturday, it is honestly a day we will never forget. 

Like for many couples, 2020 was one giant curveball for Sami and Adam.  With Adam finishing school, moving, building a house, and getting married, everything they anticipated didn’t go exactly as planned.  One thing remained constant, they work as a team, they made changes and adjusted accordingly but honestly never missed a beat together.  Saturday we were talking about how even though their wedding wasn’t exactly as planned it was perfect.  Sami said “We have felt like we were married forever and already committed, we couldn’t wait any longer, it had to be today”.  

We have been laughing and saying, “man Saturday was so much fun”…. Basically every half hour for the last 2 days.  We love you guys, we love your family, and are now even more excited for next year.  Congratulations friends, we admire your love and dedication to each other, and your friendship and support mean everything.
