Libby + John // Grand Rapids, MI

Last Saturday we were so excited to capture our friends, John and Libby, on their wedding day.  Justin and John have been friends since high school, and when they reached out about doing their engagement photos in the U.P. at pictured rocks, I don’t think Justin could have been more excited.  Fast forward almost 2 years and we were finally able to celebrate them getting married. 

When I think of John and Libby I think of the following things, teamwork, dedication, and flexibility.  If you get the opportunity to talk to this couple or be blessed to know them closely it is easy to see that they have a very strong bond and really value and love the same things.  Planning a wedding is not easy, especially in 2020 and these two knew what they wanted, to get married and be together, and they did it, they planned, improvised, and planned again.  The thing that I love the most is what matters to them is the two of them and their relationship, and that’s what’s most important.

We always tell couples, there will always be a hiccup, a bump in the road, some stressful thing, but at the end of the day, you get to marry your best friend and start your life together.  I never had to say that to John and Libby, because their eyes were always on the prize.  

John and Libby, your wedding day was perfect, amazing weather, excellent company, a beautiful venue, and the best couple.  We are so excited to see what is to come for you guys and thank you for inspiring us with your strength and love for each other.
