Rachel + Alex // Grand Rapids, Michigan

I don’t know how many times I have said this… andI will say it again, we have the worlds best clients. We met Rachel and Alex through a mutual friend, Haylee knew them fairly well while they were just dating but I got to know them after they got engaged. Last fall we traveled to Vancouver, British Columbia with some friends and Rachel and Alex were there at the same time. Alex proposed while they were out on a day trip to Vancouver Island and then we ran into them a couple days later we ran into them walking down the streets of downtown Vancouver.

We hung out with them for the rest of the evening and I remember Haylee and I repetitively talking about how “man we should hang out with them again” and “I could see the four of us becoming great friends”. Alex and Rachel are two of the most genuine, fun, lighthearted people and it was clear by the support they had on their big day that many people feel the same way about them that we do. For those of you who know Rachel personally, you knew how beautiful her wedding would be. She is an interior designer and has an eye for making everything come together perfectly. Her wedding was perfect down to every single detail. Honestly to a photographer you walk in and were over stimulated by all of the beautiful things to capture. While that is great, and makes for amazing photos, thats not what I took away from their wedding day.

It is no secret to any of Alex and Rachel’s family and friends how perfect they are together. A friend described them to me as “goofy best friends that love each other a whole lot”. They are full of laughter, adventure, and love for each other, the two of them together can light up a room. Alex and Rachel together made our jobs easy, there was no posing necessary on their wedding day because they were stinking adorable on their own, it was evident that their day was dreamt of for years prior. No beautiful bouquet, awesome donut display, or amazing venue can steal the show from these two because the emotion captured just with them being together is everything.
