Lauren + Tommy // Grand Rapids, Michigan

Well people we made it… 13 weddings in 13 weeks, and Tommy and Lauren made for a great Grand Finale. Lauren and Tommy were married this past Saturday, October 27th at Harbor Life Church in Grandville, Michigan. Here is the kicker, Saturday, October 27, 2012, I married my beautiful wife Haylee at Harbor Life Church in Grandville, Michigan. While Saturday was all about Lauren and Tommy, they made us feel special on our anniversary by giving us a cake which we devoured when we got home late that night with a bottle of champagne. The way that Lauren and Tommy celebrated us was no surprise as we got to know them. They are two of the most kind, bubbly, sweet people you will meet and their day was special just knowing how great the two of them both are.

As we were leaving from picking up my car at the church Haylee and I stood in the parking lot reflecting on this wedding season and it is truly amazing how each and every wedding can be so different, each couple sets up their day exactly how they want it. We started talking about how on Lauren and Tommy’s wedding day we had a schedule for the day, but there was something different about it. A lot of times we have a lengthy schedule with lots of different things scheduled to capture, which is perfect for some couples. But with Lauren and Tommy I truly don’t think they focused much on all of the extra aspects of the day, they just wanted to be together. That is absolutely it, they wanted to get married and be together.

After the ceremony we went to her parents property in Hudsonville and it was amazing looking at them for the short time we were there taking pictures and you could not get those smiles off their faces if you tried. They were beyond excited, they have waited so long to make it official and Saturday was the day of their dreams. Haylee and I are so thankful to be a part of their day, they were so great to us, and are obviously so great to each other and the people in their lives.

We are so thankful we could share “our anniversary” with you guys, you were a perfect reminder of how exciting and precious marriage truly is.
