Ethan + Catherine // Holland, Michigan

If you are familiar with our business and have followed our work for any amount of time, there is a good chance you have seen photos of the Lietz family at some point in time. We joke around about being their “family photographers” but really they just treat us like part of the family. As of this weekend we have photographed 4 of the 8 Lietz siblings weddings and we wouldn’t have missed it for a thing.

This family is grounded in faith, full of laughter, and the most welcoming group of people you will ever meet. I swear if we don’t make it to family christmas this year they will drive to our house, throw us in the car and take us there regardless. That is how much this family means to us. They have had a huge impact on our lives personally and on our business and we are eternally grateful.

But, about the bride and groom, we personally do not come from huge families like Ethan and Catherine both do but I would imagine that sometimes you are lumped together with your siblings…. much like we did above ;). Let me tell you what, these two stand out from any crowd. There is nothing posed, or forced about any of the photos below, these two were so genuinely excited to finally be married that the joy and love in these photos was uncontrollable and was pouring out of both of them.

During their photos I remember saying something along the lines of “you did it, you are finally married, how does it feel?”. I then said something about how real it is once you are in your home together and keep waking up in the same house together over and over and over again, its almost surreal. Ethan without hesitation looked right into his wife’s eyes and said “no more goodbyes ever again”, then grabbed her and kissed her. That’s it guys, they found it, that desire to be with one person forever, every single day, without saying goodbye.

Catherine and Ethan, your love for each other, your families, and the Lord is beautiful, perfect, and inspirational. We loved every second of your wedding day and could not be happier for you.

And, we promise, we will see you at Christmas.
