Sarah + Kurt // Linden, Michigan

Part two of our weekend of weddings led us to a gorgeous venue in Linden, Michigan to celebrate with Sarah and Kurt.  I have been looking forward to this wedding for a long time.  When they booked last year we did an engagement session and getting to know them and their style made me super excited to be a part of their beautiful wedding day.

Unlike the day before in windy, chilly, Charlevoix, Sarah and Kurt had perfect weather for their outdoors wedding.  Throughout the entire day there was an underlying theme of what everyone said about this couple.  The bride and groom met at the elementary school where they both worked in Rockford, Michigan, Kurt is a school psychologist and Sarah is an elementary teacher.   The day they met at school, Kurt saw Sarah walking toward the library and immediately changed his path to go toward the library just so he could open the door for her, he made sure to “accidentally” cross paths with her at school to catch her attention.

The other thing that every person talked about throughout the day was how much these two love kids; how they love their students, and nieces and nephews so much and that will make incredible parents some day.   It was touching hearing how much their love ones admired them for their dedication to their careers and how everyone can’t wait to see what God has planned for their family in the future.

The other thing that both Haylee and I loved about their wedding day was the awesome speeches that were given.  The maid of honor actually wrote a fairytale for Sarah and had it printed with lots of different pictures of her and Kurt throughout their relationship.  Sarah has always been a fan of fairytales and it was the perfect way to celebrate her own “fairytale” through her best friend telling their story.

Thank you to the Aalderinks for letting us capture your fairytale wedding day, we pray for years of happiness and memories for you both.
