Pancake + Waffle // New Buffalo, Michigan
When thinking about Christine and Ian’s wedding day last weekend its hard for me to pin point the moments that were the highlights. Don’t get me wrong it is not because it wasn’t memorable; in fact it was the opposite really. Every moment was nothing short of memorable and perfect.
I met with them only a short few months ago over coffee to talk about their Michigan destination wedding. They wanted small, intimate, and romantic. Their wedding day was truly about their love for each other and for the people closest to them. No bridal party, 40 guests, and a home rental big enough for everyone to spend the weekend together. It was perfect. Justin and I were really excited about shooting a wedding at a Dwell Vacation home, it has been on the photography bucket list for a while, and while that was absolutely amazing and beautiful, it was more of a footnote than a major highlight.
This entire wedding day was focused on how much these two love, cherish, and support each other. I cannot put into words what is like to see these two together. Their chemistry is electric and they glow happiness when they are together. There was not a single moment of stress on their wedding day, we just spent the day laughing and celebrating their love for each other. Their ceremony was filled with intentional and heartfelt words and promises. While their reception was full of the most adorable speeches given by their nieces and nephews.
Christine and Ian, your day was one we will never forget, your love for each other inspires our work and our marriage and we feel so honored to have had the opportunity to get to know you both and be a part of your wedding day.
