Mel + Ryan // Holland, Michigan
We have thought in the past that eventually we would get sick of weddings. We thought maybe we would get bored of it, burnt out, and not want to do it any more. Maybe it is true, someday we may decide to change our path in photography or find another area of work. But I have to admit; we are in a stage right now where we love it more and more. To us a wedding day is so much more than just another wedding, it is a chance to embrace each couple individually and capture them in their own element within their own specific story.
This past weekend we had the honor of photographing Mel and Ryan’s wedding day. We have known Mel and her family for some time because we have mutual friends, and also shot her sisters wedding. We always love being able to capture sibling weddings as you get to see how the family grows and changes over the years. Currently her dad is battling a tough fight with brain cancer and while it is sad and hard, it was the most humbling and beautiful experience to be able to capture the moments they all had as a family together.
There are always so many special moments we take a way from wedding days and that is why we love what we do so much. But Saturday was an experience we will never forget, the day was filled with love, strength, celebration, and faith. We are so thankful that Mel and Ryan trusted us to capture these incredibly precious, sensitive, and special moments that they had together. We have so much love and respect for your entire family.
Congratulations you guys, we are beyond happy for you two and cannot wait to see how your future unfolds over the years.
