Shelby & Ian // Shelbyville, Michigan

Earlier this month we headed back to one of our favorite venues, Bay Pointe Inn in Shelbyville, Michigan on Gun Lake and shot the perfect fall wedding day for the best couple. Bay Pointe has two gorgeous venue spaces, a water front ceremony space and the coolest cottages you can stay in. It has always been one of our favorite venues and I don’t see that changing any time soon. The food, service, views, spaces, and accommodations…. all amazing. So when we get inquiries for Bay Pointe, its always a yes for us because we know that our couples will have the best day.

Shelby and Ian were described as everyone we met as the perfect match. Every time someone gave a speech, toast, or just in chatting it was universally spoken that they are absolutely perfect for each other. I didnt get the privedledge of meeting them in person until there wedding day and after one day with them i can honestly say the same thing. My favorite thing at weddings oftentimes is watching the change in the bride when she is reunited with her groom. I have to say Shelby was very laid back all morning but there is a different energy when girls are reunited with their man. She instantly had an overwhelming peace and comfort to her after their first look. And there private vows…. something special. They had countless friends and family members around chatting and hanging out, but it didn’t stop them from having one of the most intimate and emotional vow readings I have experienced, and it was beautiful.

Shelby and Ian, I loved getting to hear your story and then photograph it. Your love is something extremely special and you are gorgeous together. We wish you all of tha happiness and thank you for letting us capture a glimpse of it. Congratulations!
