Nicole + Ryan // Ludington, Michigan

We are firm believers that everything always works out how its suppose to, God’s plan is always better than what we can imagine. 2020 has been one giant curveball for all of us but I feel especially bad for anyone getting married, having a baby, or losing someone close to them. When it comes to planning a wedding you work for months, sometimes years to make your perfect vision come to life, and while every wedding always has bumps in the road nothing has ever been quite like the pandemic when it comes to planning a big day.

When Nicole and Ryan got engaged they immediately started planning their huge celebrating for the summer of 2020. They were planning on over 400 people on a private property in Ludington and it was going to be one heck of a celebration. As the year went on they realized that because of the current regulations they weren’t going to be able to have the big celebration they were planning on. But, it worked out just as it was supposed to. Nicoles parents live on an incredible piece of property on Hamlin Lake with a view of the Ludington Dunes, when I say incredible, I mean INCREDIBLE.

I later learned that not only was this was Nicoles childhood home but this was where her parents were married decades before. Her dad had bought this beautiful piece of land before marrying her mom. They were married there, built their forever home, raised their children there, and now hosted her daughters wedding there.

It is easy to see why they would have had 400 people who wanted to celebrate them. They are fun, friendly, and caring, and their wedding day was perfect. They were able to celebrate with their closest friends and family in a place full of memories and love.
