Kirsten + Jordan // South Bend, Indiana

Over the past 10 years we have photographed over 175 weddings.  While all 175 weddings may have some similarities or trends there is always something that makes each day exclusively unique or special.  One of my favorite things with shooting weddings is trying to see what is really unique or special about each day and what makes each couple exactly who they are.   

We have shot everything from your casual backyard or beach wedding to formal ballroom weddings, we have done winter weddings and summer weddings, we have seen it all and worked with many different personalities of brides and grooms. 

The thing that I loved about Kirsten and Jordan’s wedding is her thoughtful attention to detail.  Kirsten spent so much time adding details to their special day to make it unique and them.  Her gifts to their parents were perfectly thought out, to every detail of décor and the planning of the day, and I loved every bit of it.   

The funny thing about when I think about how special every detail and minute of their day was, when the two of them were together it all seemed to fade away, while those details were perfect the two of them together is magic without any details.  One thing I will never forget is the moment when before we entered the reception, we were taking some beautiful golden hour photos, they were laughing and snuggly, and one of her best friends said “that’s the real s**t right there, those two are really in love”… I honestly couldn’t think of a better way to describe it.  We have seen a lot of “perfect matches” throughout these 10 years but this couple has something really special.  

Jordan and Kirsten light up a room when they walk in, they genuinely care for people and are so full of life and happiness.  It was a complete JOY spending time with them and as you scroll through their photos you will find yourself smiling because it’s impossible not to, their joy and love is contagious.
