Jen & Justin
Haylee and I have known Jen for the past 5 years, which is one of the many reasons this was an extra special day for me to capture. We have been involved in bible studies together, and now enjoy all going to Redemption Church in Grandville together. For the majority of our friendship, Justin was not a part of the story... but Jen was waiting patiently for him.
When Jen and Justin started dating it was evident that he was something special to her, she glowed with excitement about him, and you could tell there was something big happening. When Justin had reached out to me about a surprise proposal he was planning I was ecstatic! And guys, if you didn't know that hiring a photographer to capture the proposal is major browny points. Well now you know. It was that night standing out in the freezing cold watching Justin shovel a path through the snow for his girlfriend and setting up candles together and asking him "you ready for this!?"
It brought me back to the memory of the brisk day in February on the beautiful slopes of Killington ski resort surrounded by snow covered pines where I nervously waited for Haylee to catch up to me to find me on one knee just dying to ask her if she would spend forever with me. There is just nothing more exciting than capturing every step leading up to that big moment of asking "will you marry me".
Now looking back at this beautiful wedding day the thing that sticks out in my mind is how much it is evident that Justin cherishes his Bride more than anything in this world. Their love for each other is strong, and honest. They want to share with the world how much they love and appreciate each other, and that their wait for each other has only drawn them closer and created a stronger bond.
Thank you Jen and Justin for making me a part of your wedding day.. You guys truly make my job easy and fun, I will never forget your perfect rainy wedding day.
