Birth Story // Peter James

The journey to becoming a mom is different for every person, it is emotional, raw, exciting, and overwhelming.  Having the opportunity to witness that first hand leaves me speechless every time.  Watching a husband and wife meet their child for the first time is the most beautiful moment to capture.  This particular birth, Mom, Erin, knew very well how impactful it is to witness this experience with families is.  Erin is an RN Midwife at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo, and for her birth is her profession and passion.  

One thing that was evident that Erin knew that a key ingredient to a successful birth is a strong support team, and she had that.  Erin had her husband and mom by her side for the entirety of her 30+ hour birth journey.  The three of them worked like a well oiled machine, both of them were in tune with what she needed and were present throughout the entire labor.

Although Peter took his time coming into the world... he chose his birthday for a specific reason.  Peter James was born early in the morning of his Grandma and Grandpa's 35th wedding anniversary, which couldn't be more perfect.  

Erin, you were so strong, and Joshua, there are more photos than I can count of you loving and comforting your wife perfectly.  You both left a lasting impression on me and I will never forget this amazing journey with your family.  

I will never forget Erin saying "I love him so much already"
