Soon we will celebrate 200 weddings, over 10 years of business, countless photos, thousands of emails, dozens of meetings, and 200 amazing couples. One of the best parts of our jobs is getting to see how each couple makes their day their own and seeing their personalities shine through by watching how and what they plan for the biggest day of their lives.

I have said it once and I will say it a million times again, I LOVE a backyard wedding. There is nothing better than watching parents of the bride or groom host their child’s wedding at their childhood home, while I know it is a heck of a lot of work, I absolutely love it.

Alyssa and Lucas got married at her parents house in Sparta and every ounce of the day made me think of my own family. First of all, she and Lucas are building just 2 acres away from where they got married, which if you know both sides of my family, we love living way to close to each other. Secondly, how close their family and friends are. It is evident in the way they love their friends like they are family, and how their families love each other and their friends boundlessly. Seeing how their families came together to throw this beautiful wedding, and help them build their dream home is something extremely special.

To the Marbles, while you have the most amazing families and wonderful friends, what the two of you have and the family you are starting is something really beautiful and special. I literally cried twice going through the photos of Lucas watching Alyssa come down the aisle, it was the perfect moment. You light up when you are together, you are kind, genuine, and love whole heartedly. We were so honored to get to know you and capture the start to your Love story. Congratulations friends, we cannot wait to see what comes next!
