Madeline + Eric // Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan

Happy 1 week anniversary to the sweetest newlywed couple you will meet, Madeline and Eric. Last Saturday we were in beautiful Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan, at the Country Club of Detroit, with the best group of people we could ask for. This family and group of friends made us feel like we were a part of the crew from the very second we arrived and we are so thankful.

Madeline and Eric together brighten any room, and instantly make people feel cared for and appreciated, they are genuine, fun, and sweet. Their priest gave the most heartfelt and meaningful message during their ceremony and I will never forget it. He started his message by saying, “Madeline, today is not about you, its about Eric” and “Eric, today is not about you, its about Madeline”. He then went into explaining, '“today is not about the two of you, it’s about God”.

His main point was that marriage in general isn’t about us, it is designed to bring glory to God. If marriage is not about Christ what is the purpose in giving your life to another person in the first place. Because marriage is designed to show sacrificial love like Christ has given to us, the way we love our spouses should be a reflection of that love.

There are countless reasons I will never forget Madeline and Eric’s wedding day, it was absolutely beautiful full of amazing people, but this message is truly something I never want to forget. Thank you to the best couple for the best day, we were so honored to be a part of it. We cannot wait to see what is next for you all, we know it is something special.
