Little Olivia

Tyler and Hannah had a long, hard, emotional journey to becoming parents.  Hannah found out just shortly before Olivia was born that she would need to be induced soon after 37 weeks.  Induction wasn’t a part of their birth plan but these two made the absolute best out of it.  We actually bonded early on because they had chosen to do the Bradley Method classes like Justin and I had when Seth was born.  So induction wasn’t part of the “original plan”, but they knew it what was best for mama and baby.

Hannah went in on Wednesday to be induced and had to wait, for what seemed to be forever, until little Olivia was born on Friday afternoon.  I told these two multiple times that they amazed me throughout this process.  After a long hard couple of days, the moment that Olivia made her appearance was worth it all.  My eyes were filled with tears and I don’t think I was the only one in the room.

The sweetest thing about their birth was how instantly Hannah and Olivia bonded.  The way she reacted to her voice was amazing.  But as you will see in the photos below, when Olivia got to mama’s chest she just wanted to touch her face.  It was the most beautiful thing to see how intimately they were connected from the very first second.

I will never forget this birth especially how hard Hannah worked and how well she and Tyler worked together to face something difficult and come out on top, celebrating the birth of their perfect little girl.  Thank you guys for letting me ride along on this amazing journey!
